How does the encryption actually work? ▾
Forms use 3072-bit RSA to protect a per-form private key, with AES-256 protecting the response data itself. The private key is generated client-side and never touches our servers — we have zero access to your decrypted data.
What happens if I lose my private key? ▾
Because of the zero-knowledge design, we cannot recover a lost private key for you — that is the same property that keeps your data safe from us. Store it somewhere durable, such as a password manager, the moment you create a form.
