Frequently asked questions

Product & how it works

What is VerifID Forms?

A no-code form builder for organizations that need to collect sensitive data securely. Every response is end-to-end encrypted in the browser before it reaches our servers, and you can start from an industry preset theme or a blank form.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Forms are built with a drag-and-drop, no-code editor. Industry preset themes give you a compliant field set to start from, and the branding engine handles theming automatically from a logo upload.

Can I use my own branding?

Yes. Upload your logo and the platform extracts your brand colors automatically, or set colors manually in the app for full control. See the full walkthrough on the branding page.

Is there an AI form builder?

An AI-assisted form builder — describe the form you need in plain language and get a structured draft — is on our near-term roadmap. It will still encrypt data client-side like every other form.

What happens after someone submits a form?

Their response is encrypted in their browser before it is sent. You view it by decrypting it locally with your private key — there is no way to view responses in plaintext from our side.

Security & encryption

What does "zero-knowledge" actually mean?

Every form gets its own RSA-3072 key pair generated in the browser. The private key never touches our servers, and response data is encrypted client-side with AES-256 before transmission — we receive ciphertext we cannot read.

What happens if I lose my private key?

We cannot recover it for you. That is the direct tradeoff of zero-knowledge design — the same property that keeps us from ever seeing your data means we have nothing to hand back if the key is lost. Store it in a password manager immediately.

Could VerifID Forms be compelled to hand over my data?

We could be compelled to hand over whatever we hold — encrypted ciphertext we cannot decrypt ourselves. Without your private key, that data is not meaningfully readable by us or by anyone we might be required to give it to.

How is this different from "encryption at rest"?

Encryption at rest means the provider holds the key and can decrypt your data whenever they choose. VerifID Forms encrypts before data ever leaves the browser, with a key only you hold — we are never in a position to decrypt it at all. See the full architecture breakdown for the technical detail.

What algorithms do you use?

RSA-3072 protects each form’s private key, and AES-256 encrypts the response data itself, generated and applied client-side via the Web Crypto API.

Pricing & plans

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Explorer plan includes up to 4 forms, 1 published form, 50 submissions, and full end-to-end encryption — no payment information required.

Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?

No. You can start collecting encrypted responses on the free plan without entering payment details.

What happens if I exceed my plan’s limits?

You’ll be prompted to upgrade to a higher tier before you can publish additional forms or accept more submissions than your plan allows.

Do you offer enterprise or custom plans?

Yes. Enterprise plans support custom deployment, advanced integrations (webhooks, RBAC), and dedicated support. Reach out through the enterprise contact form on the homepage.

Compliance

Is VerifID Forms DPDP compliant?

VerifID Forms is engineered around India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 — consent capture, data fiduciary safeguards, and erasure support are built into the architecture. See the DPDP compliance page for the section-by-section breakdown.

Is it suitable for HIPAA-covered healthcare data?

The zero-knowledge architecture satisfies technical safeguard requirements for Protected Health Information, and the platform is designed to support Business Associate Agreement-backed deployments. See the HIPAA compliance page for details.

Does it support GDPR requirements?

Yes — Privacy by Design is structural, not a setting, and the platform supports data subject access, rectification, and erasure request workflows required under GDPR Articles 15-21.

What about PDPA?

Consent-based collection, purpose limitation, and the encryption-by-default architecture align with PDPA’s reasonable security arrangement requirements. See the PDPA page for specifics.

Switching & comparisons

How is this different from Google Forms?

Google Forms stores responses in plaintext with no dedicated compliance posture. VerifID Forms encrypts every response client-side and is built specifically for regulated data. See the full comparison.

Can I migrate existing forms from another tool?

You can rebuild forms quickly using an industry preset theme as a starting point. There is currently no automated one-click importer from other platforms.

Which industries is VerifID Forms built for?

Any team handling regulated or sensitive personal data — the preset library spans 21 sectors and 46 region- and vertical-specific themes, from finance and healthcare to logistics, education, government, and non-profits. Browse all industry preset themes to see field sets tailored to each.
